Terrapins offer a "Spring/Summer Swim Team" with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate i
nstruction and training.
We offer a staff of USA
Swimming certified coaches and a program with a track record of success in developing young athletes. The program will emphasize setting a foundation in competitive swimming, while maintaining a healthy
approach to competition.
Note: This year we will be hosting a "Break Out Swim Clinic" on Saturday, April 7th prior to the beginning of the Spring Session. All registered Spring/Summer Team swimmers will automatically be included in this clinic for free. Again, Orange & Blue Spring/Summer Team swimmers do not need to register for the Break Out Swim Clinic, they will automatically be included when they register for the Spring/Summer Team.

Orange Group
:

This group is for the beginning level swimmer with previous swim lesson who have graduated from swim lessons and are interested in trying out the swim team experience.
Swimmers must be able to do 25 yards of freestyle or backstroke without assistance.
This is not a learn to swim program.
Swimmers in this group will be focusing on developing the necessary skills needed to set a foundation for the development of the four competitive strokes.
Extensive skill and drill work will done on a daily basis.
Blue Group:

All Blue Group swimmers must have a working knowledge of all four competitive strokes.
Instruction will focus on the stroke drill progressions for each stroke
, competitive stroke development, and racing skills.
Swimmers will learn how the drills are designed to focus on “parts” of each stroke.
In addition, swimmers will be introduced to basic training concepts
and training sets
.
